for a relative inexpensive pair of walking shoes, it would be difficult to do much better than this. are robust enough, fits very well, look good and do the work you paid them to do. There is a bit of a break-in period for these and like another reviewer, I found them a bit hard at first but after I certainly no complaints. I don't know if I would use these in the fridge, but North for the normal time, are just fine. they look good in jeans
